California Home Energy Center helps California homeowners request a free, no-obligation in-home energy assessment and connects them with licensed contractor(s) who perform the assessment and any work you choose to move forward with. We are a private company. We are not a government agency, and we are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any government agency or utility provider.
2. No Guarantees
Submitting a form or completing the eligibility questions on this Site does not guarantee that you will qualify for any program, rebate, financing, or upgrade, and does not constitute approval for anything. Final eligibility is determined by a licensed contractor and by the relevant program administrators during and after the in-home assessment.
We do not promise any specific savings, and no free equipment is promised or guaranteed. Any potential savings depend on your individual home, energy usage, the upgrades you choose, and program availability, which varies by location and time and may change without notice.
3. Eligibility to Use This Site
You must be at least 18 years old and the owner of the property you are inquiring about (or authorized to act on the owner's behalf) to request an assessment.
4. Accuracy of Information
You agree to provide accurate and complete information. You are responsible for the information you submit, and you confirm that the contact details you provide belong to you and that you are authorized to be contacted at them.
5. Third-Party Programs and Contractors
Rebate and incentive programs referenced on this Site are operated solely by their respective utilities, agencies, or administrators. We do not control those programs and are not responsible for their terms, availability, funding, or decisions. Work performed at your home is provided by licensed contractor(s), who are solely responsible for that work.
6. Intellectual Property
All content on this Site — text, graphics, logos, and design — is owned by or licensed to California Home Energy Center and may not be copied or reused without permission.
7. Limitation of Liability
